About Us

Sonia Tramel received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from California State University, Long Beach, in 2006. She has held her Enrolled Agent certification since 2010.

Sonia has been a key member of the Realm team since 2007 (formerly Wayland and Vukadinovich). Prior to this she was an accountant for many businesses including engineering and book publishing firms.

Sonia is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has helped many small business clients improve their financial records resulting in improved processing of their tax accounting.

Andrea Romo is a senior tax accountant with over 15 years of experience working with some of the most successful small firms in the South Bay. Andrea delivers top notch service and takes pride in her customer relationships. She excels at educating other employees on using technology including accounting software, communication procedures and organizational apps.

Andrea is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others. Andrea is inspired daily by her husband who is a third-grade teacher in South Los Angeles. In her free time, Andrea likes to walk her dog and watch reality television.

Shelly is a CPA with 29 years of tax and accounting experience at Wayland & Vukadinovich. She worked on financial statement auditing but enjoyed preparing all types of individual, business and information tax returns.

She taught and supervised entry level accountants, mentored mid-level accountants, and worked alongside senior accountants and partners. For the last 3 years, she worked as a sole-proprietor, preparing tax returns for a smaller group of clients in order to focus on taking care of her family and their needs. She is originally from Colorado, loves going to the beach and entertaining friends and family.

Mary is an experienced CPA and started at a small firm in Dallas while working towards her Masters in Taxation at the same time. Once she finished her degree and CPA exams she started at KPMG in Global Mobility for the Boston office. She then moved to Asset Management in Dallas working on REITs.

Gina Hoogland is the office manager and all-knowing IT and Procedure Goddess that was willed to Realm Business and Tax Advisory from Wayland and Vukadinovich after 27 years. Before her tenure she worked at a West Los Angeles labor law firm.

Prinkle is an accomplished Chartered Accountant and CPA. She has been associated with Indian multinational IT company and Deloitte for over 4 years.

Her engagements span a spectrum of disciplines, from financial reporting and audits to taxation intricacies, accounting analytics, SOX & IFC.

She is currently assisting US individuals and businesses with Income tax preparation, business tax planning, resolving IRS issues, and offering other customized tax strategies.

Don Mercilus, originally from Akron, OH relocated to Houston, TX in 2012. He Attended University of Houston - Downtown, Marylin Davies School of Business, graduating with his BBA in Accounting. He has worked at small to midsize CPA firms with a focus in Business and Individual Taxation. Don has 7 years of experience in tax preparation and client relations. He is currently sitting for his CPA license.

Tax Staff

Jessica started at the front desk for Wayland and Vukadinovich and is now part of the tax staff for Realm. She has associates degrees in Business Administration and Humanities and is at CSU Dominguez Hills for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Public Policy. Previous to Realm, she has experience working in a chain tax office. She enjoys interacting with clients and assisting them with administrative questions.

In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, collecting vinyl and has two cats.
